My husband and I visit this facility to provide music for the guests. We have come at many different times during the day and have always found the home to be spotless and well run. But more than anything, what sets this home apart is the staff. This is a place where I would have felt comfortable having my own mom. The staff is very patient and kind, and they seem to genuinely care for each resident. We have been at celebrations when other family members are present, and they obviously feel like part of an extended family and are welcomed warmly. This is a home where small details matter, from the seasonal decorations to the home-cooked food to the beautiful table settings at meals. If you have to make the difficult decision to have a family member placed in someone else's care, this would be an excellent option.

Amazing adult family home where my 98 year old grandma lives and is thriving! After her fall last year and subsequent hospital stay and rehab stays, our family knew she couldn't live independently anymore. My heart hurt to think she'd go to a nursing home and lose her will for life. I worried she wouldn't be well taken care of and forgotten. Grandma is such an independent lady and has a great memory still. I am SO happy with the care she is receiving at this home. I was able to visit her when I was in Everett last time and she is doing great. Her new "home" is clean and friendly and uplifting! Full of life! The residents are given many activities to participate in if they feel like it. I love seeing my grandma doing holiday crafts, baking and decorating cookies, going on outings and doing things that make her feel like she is useful and has purpose. I hired Emmalyn Costillo five years ago as a private caregiver for my mother, I was initially impressed with Lyn’s enthusiasm, persistence and professional demeanor. During the four years Lyn worked privately with Mom she consistently demonstrated all of these qualities and more. In 2015, just over a year ago, Lyn opened the doors to her career dream, Family’s Choice Adult Family Home, we quickly agreed that Mom would be her first resident. Emmalyn is reliable, dedicated and eternally upbeat. Her ability to calmly and patiently work with the elderly and their special needs is intuitive. Over the years I learned that Lyn is organized and diligent. Emmalyn quickly learned my mother’s needs and wants and was able to work tirelessly to help Mom function as independently as possible. Lyn and her team consistently provided stimulating intellectual, emotional and physical activities including, working with puzzles, playing cards, embroidering, painting, physical therapy practice, walking and geld trips as well as Mom’s favorite…shopping. It is because a her consistent excellence in this area that Mom remained happy and well cared for through the age of 101. Of particular value to me is my confidence in Lyn’s care giving skills. Lyn’s love for Mom was apparent. Knowing Mom was well cared for freed me to continue working and living my own life. Lyn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and continues to attended professional-development seminars. Her common sense and her natural instincts to understand her residents’ needs, offer them unparalleled care. Lyn’s has a “can do” mind-set. It is apparent that she loves what she does and has an enthusiastic ability to adapt to the changing needs of her clients and their families, Lyn multitasks effectively and is able to conscientiously handle multiple tasks simultaneously. She has demonstrated the ability to work with Hospice care as well as coordinating private physician care. She and her team display an unwavering commitment to exceed her residents and their Comity’s expectations for care and participation in a comity living situation. Emmalyn is hardworking, and professional. She has my highest recommendation.
